La Giraglia Rolex Cup, quest’anno ha festeggiato il 70 anniversario e il team Swan è salito sul podio. A farlo, l’equipaggio di From Now On, lo Swan 45 di Fernando Chain che ha dominato la classifica ORC. A pochi giorni dalla conclusione della regata, l’armatore ha rilasciato un’intervista, esprimendo le sue riflessioni sulla gara e sulla barca che ha portato tutto l’equipaggio alla vittoria.
<<Siamo molto felici di aver raggiunto questo risultato. Anche se abbiamo già vinto due volte, questa è la prima sul gradino più alto del podio in una long race. Ovviamente siamo molto orgogliosi, a maggior ragione considerando il contesto dell’anniversario della competizione. Siamo stati felicissimi anche solo di partecipare: la Giraglia, che insieme alla Coppa del Rey è una delle gare più combattive, fa sempre parte dei nostri programmi. Per noi che veniamo dall’Argentina, l’aver vinto è davvero importante, speriamo di poter tornare anche l’anno prossimo>>.
Sullo Swan 45, Chain aggiunge <<Navigare con uno Swan, non uno qualsiasi, ma con uno Swan 45 è un vantaggio. Molte volte abbiamo superato la velocità del vento, con prestazioni pari alle migliori ICR. La struttura dello Swan è incredibile: una barca eccezionale>>.

The Giraglia Rolex Cup celebrated its 70th anniversary this year and the Swan team made it onto the podium. The crew of From Now On, Fernando Chain’s Swan 45, dominated the ORC classification. A few days after the conclusion of the regatta, the owner gave an interview, expressing his thoughts on the race and the boat that led the entire crew to victory.
<<We are very happy to have achieved this result. Although we have already won twice, this is the first on the top of the podium in a long race. Of course we are very proud, all the more so considering the anniversary context of the competition. We were delighted just to take part: the Giraglia, which together with the Coppa del Rey is one of the most competitive races, is always part of our projects. For us coming from Argentina, this win is really important, we hope we can come back again next year>>.
